The second largest industry that IHC Fabrication serves is the offshore industry. In this context we have built a stinger adjustment mechanism (SAM) and an uplift compensation system (UPS) for the modification of a ship in order to be able to lay pipes down on the sea-bottom.
Challenging about this project was that we dealt with an innovative and technically complex product. Additionally we served a new client which is always especially interesting.
Special about this project was that the engineering was partially outsourced and the technical construction was state-of-the-art. Despite constant pressure because of changes in specification, complexity and high quality standards the timely delivery of this project could be guaranteed.
